AHRC has a long history of providing the highest quality clinical services within a loving, safe, and dignified home environment. The agency's residential program provides specialized residential opportunities for people with severe developmental and/or medical issues. Individuals living in an AHRC Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) often have a severe secondary medical component related to their developmental disability, and therefore each ICF has a full-time nursing staff. Each resident's distinctive therapeutic needs are met within a homelike setting.
Our residential staff is part of a multidisciplinary team that helps to determine an individualized program for each ICF resident. Once designed, the team members also assure that the program is properly implemented. This promotes independence in self-care, independent living, communications, and the use of recreational and leisure time. Suffolk AHRC Intermediate Care Facilities are located in: Centereach Shoreham Westhampton
Related Services Individuals living in our CRs benefit from social workers and service coordinators who help with all of their programmatic, living, and social needs. Residents also receive all related services to which they are entitled through their AHRC day program.
